MUGA Scan - Preparation Requirements
TOTAL DURATION OF STUDY:
60minutes (may be extended depending upon clinical indication)
SCANNING TIME:
Patient and clinical specific. Approximately 30 minutes
PREGNANCY:
Contraindicated
BREAST FEEDING:
Stopped 24 hours.
MEDICATION:
No limitations
BIOCHEMISTRY:
Not specific
DIET:
No diet required. Eat as usual. Bring a snack for duration of study.

None
HYDRATION:
Patient is encouraged to drink water prior and during study
