DR. MASHA MAHARAJ
HEAD OF DEPARTMENT OF NUCLEAR MEDICINE
Dr Masha Maharaj did her Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) through the University of Witwatersrand. She obtained specialist qualifications in Fellowship of Nuclear Physicians (FCNP) through The Colleges of Medicine of South Africa , her Masters in Medicine (MMED) through the University of Stellenbosch and her Fellowship of the European Board of Nuclear Medicine (FEBNM) through the The European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
Dr Maharaj currently heads Imaging and Therapy Centres in the Kwa Zulu Natal province and offers Nuclear Medicine therapies in Thyroid, Neuroendocrine tumours, Prostate cancer, bone metastases and radiosynovectomy.
Dr Maharaj is a Chapter Head in Volunteer Medical Corps, who assist in Medical and Humanitatiran aid globally.
She is a member of the General executive body in the World association of Radiopharmaceutical and Molecular Therapy (WARMTH).
Dr Maharaj is an active member of the South African Oncology Consortium (SAOC). She is a consultant on the peer review panel for the Consortium.
Dr Maharaj is an active member of the South African Society of Nuclear Medicine and the Nuclear Physicians Association of South Africa
She is published in several international journals and contributed her work in a chapter in a Cancer textbook. She has presented her work internationally.
Her interests are Oncology and Infection imaging as well as Theragnostics.
TRISHA (GOVENDER) HAMBAPERSAD
CHIEF NUCLEAR MEDICINE RADIOGRAPER
Trisha Hambapersad is a vibrant Nuclear Medicine Radiographer.
She began and completed her Nuclear Medicine training at King Edward VIII Hospital, graduating with a National Diploma in Nuclear Medicine through Durban University of Technology. Thereafter obtaining her Bachelor of Technology in Nuclear Medicine.
Trisha has trained and worked in the public facility for several years, where she gained a wealth of experience and skill in Nuclear Medicine.
Her experience has added a wider depth of knowledge and skill to our Department. Trisha oversees operations of the Department of Nuclear Medicine structure and training.
Her tactfulness and competency in the field reflects in her warmth, interaction and care for our patients. She is diligent and understands not only the Discipline but the greater landscape, its cultures and personalities prevalent across the industry which has made her join our successful team.
She is published in the World Journal of Nuclear Medicine.

Samantha is an advocate and catalyst for enhanced accessibility and availability of Radiopharmaceuticals and associated therapies worldwide. She is a seasoned and passionate Radiopharmacist with over 14 years of experience in the dynamic field of Nuclear Medicine.
CEO and Founder of IsoNexus – a Radiopharmaceutical Consulting Company, she has built a proven track record in manufacturing, compounding, and strategic management. Her expertise spans radiopharmaceutical production and compounding, supply chain optimization, regulatory compliance, business development, programme management and marketing—each driven by her profound interest in targeted therapy.
Passionate about enhancing healthcare integration and patient access, she brings a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen and inclusive leadership to our team.

MIRIAM NAA YARLEY YARLEY
NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST
Miriam has a strong foundation in Molecular Biology from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and has been making impactful contributions to the field of nuclear medicine since 2017.
She began her career at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, where she honed her expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear imaging. Miriam is an active member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) and serves as an advocacy team member for the Technologist Section, reflecting her commitment to advancing the profession globally.
Known for her passion for patient care and precision in imaging, Miriam continues to thrive in a field she loves. She enjoys travelling and cherishes quality time with her family.
AKANI VUKELA
NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST
Akani Vukela is a qualified nuclear medicine technologist from the University of Johannesburg whose passion lies in the healthcare industry.
She began her training at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital (DGMAH) in Pretoria and completed her community service at Victoria Mxenge hospital previously known as King Edward VIII hospital before joining UMIT centre of excellence.
She is a dynamic and versatile technologist who strongly believes her work is a calling more than a career. A calling to serve and restore hope in the lives of many. She possesses a wide range of skills such as good communication and problem solving. She enjoys listening to music and reading for both leisure and personal development.
Her motto: To provide excellent patient care while delivering good quality imaging services on time everytime.
DR. HOSEA ADENIKE OMOTAYO
MEDICAL DOCTOR
Dr. Adenike Hosea attended the College of Medicine, Igbinedion University Okada, Edo State. She qualified with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB.BS) in 2015 and continued to obtain HPCSA board certification in South Africa.
Dr. Hosea is an effective medical practitioner who has exemplary clinical and social expertise. Her depth of experience and medical knowledge has made her an asset to our team in comprehensive patient care and management.
She enjoys spending her free time with family.

Ramilla Singh is a qualified HR Manager. She obtained the National Diploma in Personnel Management, BTech Degree in Human Resources Management and the Management Development Diploma. She has worked at the University of Durban-Westville/University of Kwazulu-Natal, Hire-it, Arres Plant Hire and the University of Zululand. She has a total of 37 years of experience at various levels as a Officer, Administrator and a Manager.
She has multiple skill-based competencies including group process intervention aimed at improving interpersonal relations and social interactions. This is directed to assist the company in achieving results, meeting goals, and accomplishing tasks. She is key management in enhancing and establishing our company mission statement.
